Friendship
Brookside (Mansfield) WI are a small but very friendly
group of ladies who embrace the Women’s Institute ethos of friendship, fun
and caring concerns.
We meet on the second Monday of each month at 7.30 p.m. and enjoy lively informative
meetings with entertaining speakers, craft evenings and perhaps, most importantly,
spending time with friends.
Caring
We enjoy outings, visit schools, hold fundraisers and often indulge in a bit of pampering when local retailers invite us to their special events!
We also encourage our members to join in the many classes and social
evenings on offer through the Nottinghamshire and National Federations
and to become involved with current issues including:
SOS for Honeybees
No More Violence Against Women
Care Not Custody
Fun
We meet at the Friends Meeting House, Rosemary Street, Mansfield, Notts, NG19 6AB.
We also meet up with members of other WI’s in our neighbouring towns and villages, to share social activities and friendship with a wider group of ladies.
Our meetings usually consist of information about forthcoming projects,
birthdays, speaker or craft projects, refreshments, competition, raffles.
